Mowgli, Baloo, and Stripes

I'm up to date, finally! These are the nails I'm wearing right now. These are the first nails I've actually realized I'll be showing off to the world, so the photography is a bit better than the pictures from my iPod. I'm still figuring out the lighting, and I tried to make a lightbox but I don't have any white light.

I got some striping tape so this is my first striping tape mani. Hopefully I'll get a bit crisper lines once I use it more. I got this idea from Sarah at Chalkboard Nails here! Speaking of Chalkboard Nails, I got a bottle of Duri Rejuvacote (which she uses) and hopefully my nails will grow to be her length. Anyway, here's the result.

Brown - Essie Mink Muffs
Blue - Essie Bikini So Teeny
I used acrylic paint for the characters.

Plus a coat of Orly Matte Top. (I didn't put Seche Vite under it this time so it barely bubbled at all!)

Does anybody else have those nails that refuse to stay nice and unbroken? It's my middle finger on this hand. Let's hope the Rejuvacote does its job!
