The 31 day challenge is so hard! It makes me angry because I don't have time to go all out and do 10 pieces of art for each day. I will finish this, eventually, but here's a post about my first love <3 Crazy cartoon manicures that take me hours and hours and end up looking adorable.
Aren't these cute? Hello Kitty nails!!!
Featuring:
Pink - Finger Paints Brushstroke Blush
Blue - Essie Bikini So Teeny
And Seche Vite.
A few people (including my mom) told me that these were their favorites of all time! I'm pretty much inclined to agree, I really like how they came out. I went to the Sanrio website and I looked at their "top 10" characters, and I went with it. My favorite has to be Hello Kitty herself.
I have just a couple more pictures after the jump :)

31dc2013 Delicate Nails
This was kind of hard for me to interpret. At first I did a dandelion mani, and it was kind of cute so I took pictures and took it off, but when I looked at the pictures on my computer, my cuticles were absolutely horrid. So, I decided to do another mani, and I was thinking "what is 'delicate'?" and I thought of fragile things, or things that get broken a lot. And the first thing that came to mind was a broken heart. So, I decided to do mannequin hands (yay, I finally found the right shade!!) with a single, broken heart.
The nude color is OPI Glints of Glinda, and the heart is acrylic paint. I needed 3 coats of Glints of Glinda, so I topped it with Seche Vite to make it dry then used OPI Matte Top Coat to make everything how I wanted it.

31dc2013 Flower Nails
I do so much nail art but I just never have time to blog about it! It frustrates me. I'm trying though :)
Here are my flower nails. I knew I wanted to do something a little less realistic than my Violet mani, so I looked up modern flower art and I saw this, and I knew it was perfect for a loose inspiration! I used Sephora by OPI Already Famous for my base, and acrylic paint for the poppies. I liked how it looked matte, so I didn't use a topcoat, but if I were going to wear these for more than an hour I would have needed a topcoat. I also really wanted to try "framed" or "bordered" nails for the first time, so ignoring the fact that they sort of look like blood, I like them :P
Speaking of SOPI, I really am excited to try the new Formula X! I hope it's nice because it's a step up (price wise) from the SOPI line. And I think the SOPI polishes can be really a hit or miss. I love the colors of all them, but the formulas are a bit runny in my opinion. Take the Already Famous polish I used. I think it's a gorgeous color. It's a mysterious silvery gold, and I haven't seen any dupes. But it took me 4-5 coats. Oh well, it was worth it. Enough rambling, here's my flower mani!

31dc2013 Animal Print Nails
I'm so sorry for the unexpected break :( Things were happening in my real life that I needed to take care of. Obviously, I didn't finish the challenge on time, so hopefully I'll be able to finish it sometime throughout the month of October. This is my manicure for the Animal Print day of the challenge. I see a lot of cheetah print and zebra stripes nails, so I wanted to do something original and after looking on google images, I found the Monarch Caterpillar and thought it'd translate well into nail art.
The gray color is OPI Nein! Nein! Ok Fine! I used acrylic paint for the stripes, then used a coat of OPI Matte Top Coat for the finish. These were actually a bit challenging for me to do because I'm so used to doing extremely fine lines and these are so thick and messy! Here's a picture of the caterpillar.

Now, my nails.
I hope I did an okay job capturing the caterpillar! Again, I'm so sorry for the unexpected break. It's nice to be posting again :)

31dc2013 Striped Nails
Hey! So this is my attempt to catch up on posting. Here are my striped nails. I really liked the combination of these 2 colors together and they're beautiful apart as well.
Here's the final product! I painted a base of Sinful Colors Aquamarine and then used striping tape to make perfect lines of Sephora by OPI Ms. Can't Be Wrong.
Here's a picture of my base, Aquamarine. I think it's such a beautiful color!
A few more pictures of the Stripes. They looked much better after I topped with Seche Vite.
